Americans in the Philippines, World War 2?

If you ask Fil-Ams who were born and raised in the USA, particularly those of your age, chances are they wouldn't know about the sordid details that you have mentioned. I can't blame them. That sad story is not taught in US schools, and its forgotten doents gather dust in a dark corner of history, never to be told. Unless your friends have even ping interest to ask their elders who know about WW2, or do their own research, they would never know the sufferings those gallant combatants, and even civilians, had to endure in the war efforts. Now if you care enough that you would discuss this issue, perhaps you could educate your friends and neighbors since you are in a position to do so.
