Does the United Way give kick backs to companies who get people to donate?

I don't know how everyones work is but anywhere I have ever worked they always make this HUGE extravagent deal out of donating to the United Way. Sometimes to the point where they are almost threatening you to donate. They offer days off if you donate over so much, etc. Then if you choose NOT to donate they say you HAVE to sign the form anyway. Why in the world do they MAKE you sign the form if you are not donating? And then there is this box that says "make my donation anonymous". There are just so many things that seem shady about the United Way. Then I emailed them to ask them about this and they ignored my email. Yet then, just as a test, I emailed asking about how I can donate money and they responded instantly. Hmmmm..
