The LDS church has a bad history. Do other Christian churches have bad history as well?

The LDS church has a wonderful history. They persevered despite incredible persecution. Every church wishes they had a comparable history, with visions, revelations, gifts of the spirit, miracles, and a living prophet. They escaped the traps of their enemies time and again. Unlike Christ's original church, the restoration of his church has managed to survive its first century, and thrive in the desert.
