Ipod touch new software question?

i have the new software..4.1..nd ive learend how make folders nd stuff but i wanna change the background of the main page, ive looked it up on youtube nd it saids you hit wallpaper nd when you click the one you want, you pick if you want it on the lock screen or mainpage but mine dosent say that..i wnat to know why
