Should i attend Uconn or Clemson?

Im looking into colleges. I'm from Connecticut and will be a senior this august in highschool. Ive been looking into colleges over the past few weeks and have narrowed it down to about five schools, most of which are public schools, D1 athletics and 15000-20000 students in size. Between Uconn and Clemson i am stuck. I like Uconn storrs but it gets cold in the winter, its almost too close to home, and i know i'll end up running into lots of people i already know because so many people go there. I like Clemson because its a well ranked school, it has a great athletics program and its in the south where its warm. However, it is very far from home. I have the grades to most likely get into either. What is your opinion? Clemson or Uconn?
